Why
Screen Applicants Thoroughly?
Statistics show that people are far more likely to be the victim of workplace violence than ever before. Workplace violence is on the rise in the United States and so are the associated costs. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, more than 1.5 million assaults, 376,000 aggravated assaults, and 51,000
reported rapes at the workplace. The latest statistics from the Workplace Violence Resource
institute released information that indicates that workplace violence
costs American businesses more than $36 billion each year in direct and
indirect costs. Now more than ever, it's critical to get as much
information on every job applicant as possible before making the
decision to hire.
